The Coffee: A screen grade 15 Kenyan peaberry roasted light medium. The coffee is complex, sweet and balanced with citrus acidity, making this coffee a juicy cup. A coffee with classic characteristics you'd come to expect from Kenya with notes that include pineapple, mango, brown sugar, green tea, florals and citrus. A great cup when brewed at higher temps in drip/pour over and aeropress formats then served hot or over ice. For espresso, we recommend resting this one 10-14 days before extracting.
The Producer: This is a community lot from the Menu (Mēnū) Farmers Cooperative Society processed at the Menu Factory situated in Bengoma County, Kenya. The region is located on the southern slopes of Mt. Elgon where the land is fertile and rainfall is abundant. Members of the farmers collective grow coffee where the genetics are dominated by SL28 & SL34. Agriculture outside of coffee include growing maize, tobacco, sugarcane and dairy farming.
