The Coffee: A multi-varietal, washed process community lot roasted light medium, this coffee offers up a sweet cup with balance of medium weight in the body and moderate acidity on the finish. We note a clean delivery of sweet, candied apple up front followed by cacao nibs, nuttiness, white grape, and marmalade. This coffee is highly versatile and brews up great in all formats from drip/pour over to espresso.
The Producer: A blended lot from the Juihuay Community of the indigenous Quechua peoples in Cusco, Peru. This coffee is grown at soaring heights of 2300m/8500ft above sea level in the Peruvian Andes. Contributing members of this community lot farm less than 5 hectares each with sustainability in mind. Farming within the Manu Biosphere Reserve the community showcases biodiversity conservation, efficient water use, and organic production while producing specialty grade coffees.
