The Coffee: A full, heavy bodied Washed Process Peaberry from the north of Brazil. This coffee is impeccably sorted and graded. Roasted on the light side of medium this PB is extremely smooth and sweet with notes of candied fig, raisin, dark chocolate, granola and finishes thick and syrupy. Brews great in all formats. The espresso is very approachable young and with little rest. We find it pulls a viscous shot with a nice bright pop to balance it out. Also worth noting this coffee presents more of its candied fig/raisin notes with a bit of granola when brewed in drip/pour over or in direct immersion (french press/siphon pot) formats.
The Producer: This lot of coffee comes from the hands of various smallholder lots in the north of Brazil where they selectively hand pick Yellow and Red Catuai. After which this coffee undergoes a washed process to extract the Peaberry's. After which they are sorted, graded, and screened. Selectively harvesting and handpicking throughout a long harvest season is not at all common to Brazil anymore, where mechanized harvest is the norm. This is a rarity for this Origin and its quality shows in this lot.

Excellent smooth tasting high quality coffee. No sourness or bitterness. Exceptional cup especially when brewed with a Hario switch.
Excellent full bodied coffee. Nice chocolate and fig, also sweet carmels im really impressed with fogline. This is the first time trying their coffee. I actually just ordered the guatamalan la moreno. Great job.
We love Jazblu beans! They have the best balanced caramel/chocolate notes we have come across. The people at Fogline are great, and we are happy to continue to support them from afar.

I had the pleasure of visiting in person in the fall of 2024 and loved the Jazblue Peaberry. So, I ordered 4 bags of it and likely will order again! Very smooth when brewed in my 3 cup Chemex.

I was at a coffee shop in Shelter Cove, CA that was serving this coffee as their drip coffee, which my boyfriend ordered and was drinking black. I tried it and was blown away! For the first time ever I could pick up the tasting notes of a coffee. I bought a bag that day and when I made it at home I was amazed at how good it tasted on its own. I tend to make my coffee a little too strong but no matter how strong you make this it's still delicious. I've been subscribed to a "craft coffee" company for many years now, and liked it but didn't love it, especially lately. I was so excited to see this was available as a subscription! My order came with the sweetest handwritten note about the coffee, and a sticker too. This was icing on the cake and I'm hooked forever now!
