The Coffee: Classic natural Brazil that hits granola, nutty, soft milk chocolate, hints of vanilla and it all translates directly to a sweet cup with a smooth texture and very mild acidity. Salmo Plus is a natural processed coffee that exhibits a full body that's fit for all brewing formats. We particularly love it as an espresso and also shines in direct immersion extractions like french press, siphon pot, and aeropress. And of course holds up quite nice as a drip/pour-over option too. Simply a crowd pleaser.
The Producer: Sometimes you have to break the rules, so breaking away from our norm of small farmers and producers wasn't a hard decision given the superb quality and consistency of the Salmo Plus. Although technically a microlot selection of Brazil, this lot would most likely smash most microlot equivalents from smaller producers. Grown in the Cerrado region of Minas Gerais this coffee was purchased from 12 different farmers at farm gate price. In this case we are saying the price was set by the farmers themselves and it is based on the quality of their collective work.
